What to Include in your Cover Letter:

Please include a course proposal in your cover letter.

CWE offers classes for children, teens, adults, and senior citizens. Please propose your class(es) for a specific age range.

Include how long you expect the class to last, whether it is a one-hour lecture on a specific local history topic or a ten-week hands-on project-based class.

Include a short biography about why you are a subject expert on this topic or in this field, your qualifications and any teaching experience

The Interview Process

Our interviews currently take place over Zoom. When scheduling your interview, please make sure you have access to a digital device in a quiet area where you will not be interrupted. Be prepared to discuss all aspects of your proposed class, from associated supply costs to duration of class.

Turn-Around Time

Our classes run in a quarterly structure. Classes must be planned at least four months in advance, and so instructors go through the hiring process two quarters before their first class. If you apply in September, during our Fall quarter, use the Spring quarter to answer questions about scheduling your proposed class(es).

If the interviewer decides your class(es) fit CWE course needs and our mission, you will receive an offer of hire from HR. You will need to be responsible for completing all pre-hire documents and background checks.

Are you passionate about education and looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and teens? Look no further! We're seeking enthusiastic and dedicated teachers to be a part of our program.
