ELL and English as a Second Language (ESL) academic support services are available to English-language learners at any level, whether enrolled in the MCC ESL program or taking general education or program courses

English Conversation Practice

  • Increase your skill and confidence speaking and understanding English

Winter Quarter Events

Let’s Talk Conversation Group

Let's Talk is a beginning conversation group especially for ESL students in levels 1 and 2. Let's Talk will use games and conversation starters to practice vocabulary and grammar skills, improve pronunciation, and help students become more comfortable speaking English in everyday situations. Mondays, 9 AM - 10 AM.

Fluent Futures ESL Speaking Lab

The ESL Fluent Futures Speaking Lab is a fun, supportive workshop where intermediate and advanced English learners build confidence in speaking through interactive activities and pronunciation practice. Participants will strengthen their conversational and professional English, improve fluency, and gain skills to support academic and career success. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 PM - 3 PM.

ESL Success Network

The purpose of The ESL Success Network is to help English Language Learners (ELLs) successfully adapt to a new environment by developing interpersonal communication skills through engaging multicultural networking events and to empower students to achieve their highest academic, personal, and social goals.
