Dara Spivack Scholarship

The Dara Spivack Scholarship was established in 2026. This scholarship recognizes students who have lived experience in the foster care system, regardless of the duration of system-involvement or current age. To qualify for consideration, students must be attending MCC, have lived foster care experience, preference for financial need, and have good academic standing (GPA of 2.0 or higher). This is a renewable scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Full- or part-time students
  • All MCC students from Nebraska
  • Any program
  • FAFSA recommended. Will consider both need and no need.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above


Scholarships are usually offered during the spring and fall quarters. Scholarship availability varies depending on donor giving.
