You are a High School Student at MCC if you are between the ages of 16-20, looking to earn college credit while in high school or a homeschooled student and have never attended college.

Tuition Free at MCC

Nebraska high school students, grades 9-12 are automatically eligible to take credit classes tuition free at MCC. Students in ninth grade become eligible for the tuition waiver during the fall quarter at MCC. Tuition is paid for by federal funding through a state tuition waiver. Students are responsible for tools, textbooks, and associated course fees.

01 You May Already be Earning College Credit A special partnership between MCC and participating high school districts allows students to earn high school and college credit simultaneously in their high school classroom. Look through our list of programs and learn how to obtain credit.

02 Apply to MCC Applying is always free. Make sure you select “High School Student” as your student type when completing your application. Once you create an account and complete an application, you will receive an email asking to confirm your attendance.

03 Looking for an Alternative to High School? We recognize the typical high school setting may not be the right fit for every student. Our Gateway to College program is a dual-credit high school diploma completion program for students who want an educational setting that is individually tailored to their success.
