ADN Application and Admissions Process
The Metropolitan Community College Associate Degree Nursing program is a one-year program for students who have successfully completed an approved practical nursing program and required prerequisites. The program provides classroom instruction, laboratory experience and clinical practice to prepare students for work in the registered nurse role within a variety of healthcare environments throughout the community.
Upon completion of the Associate Degree Nursing program, the graduate is eligible to take the NCLEX-RN examination, often referred to as the State Boards. Associate Degree Nursing graduates are eligible for employment upon graduation and licensure and often take advantage of tuition reimbursement programs to work toward a bachelor’s in nursing.
