Logistics & Industry Academy Tier 2
Overview
Tier II is designed for individuals with entry level experience/knowledge in manufacturing and/or logistics or who have successfully completed LIA Tier I Courses. Tier II introduces participants to intermediate level knowledge and skills required for a career in Logistics & Industry. Successful participants earn two credentials from a nationally recognized certifying organization.
The Certified Logistics Associate course provides students with the foundational broad knowledge they will need to understand the world of supply chain, logistic, safety, material handling, quality control, workplace communication, teamwork and problem solving and using computers.
The Certified Logistics Technician course provides students with the mid-level technical knowledge needed to understand the world of supply chain logistics, product receiving, product storage, order processing, packaging and shipment, inventory control, safe handling of hazardous materials, evaluation of transportation modes, customs, dispatch and tracking operations.
Prerequisites: 8th-grade math and 10th-grade reading level before taking course. NCRC Silve.
