Overview

At the conclusion of the Bootcamp and Internship students will be able to:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot smartphone hardware and software issues, including network and operating system maintenance, using industry-standard tools and knowledge of radio frequency technology and component functionality.
  • Perform repairs with industry-standard safety protocols, handling Lithium-Ion batteries, and applying cosmetic grading standards.
  • Assemble and disassemble device components, document repair processes, and maintain privacy standards.
  • Apply customer service best practices and complete basic repairs in both retail and remote technician environments.
  • One-week bootcamp is held in person at the Digital Express. 100-hour Internship hours are scheduled over 8 weeks, 10-15 hours per week, at Reboot Central or other iFixOmaha location.

Types of Jobs: Mobile Device Repair Technician, Entrepreneur, IT (Information Technology) Staff.

Prerequisite: Good Visual Acuity and Manual Dexterity, 16 years old.

Time Requirement to Complete Credential: 35 hours of classroom instruction and 100 hours of internship: 8 weeks, 10-15 hours per week at Reboot Central or other iFixOmaha locations.
