Phlebotomy Technician
Overview
Learning outcomes and skills gained:
- Topics include all aspects related to blood collection, including comprehensive skills to perform venipunctures completely and safely.
- Classroom and lab work include terminology, anatomy and physiology, blood collection procedures, specimen hands-on practice, and training in skills and techniques to perform puncture methods.
- Upon completion, participants will meet the necessary requirements to take the NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification exam.
Types of Jobs: Phlebotomy Technician, Phlebotomist
Prerequisite: High school diploma or GED, 18 years or older, clear background check
Time Requirement to Complete Credential: 90 hours, 4-months of in-person classroom instruction

Cost
The cost of the Phlebotomy Technician Course is $3,088 and includes all required coursework. Financial assistance may be available for eligible participants through the Nebraska GAP Assistance Program, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding, or Workforce Pell funding.
