What the Title IX Coordinator Does

  • Receives reports of sex discrimination and sexual harassment.
  • Coordinates outreach and supportive measures.
  • Explains reporting, grievance, and resolution options.
  • Coordinates the College's Title IX grievance process.
  • Monitors patterns or systemic concerns and coordinates appropriate response.
  • Coordinates Title IX education, prevention, and training responsibilities.
  • Works with other College officials while maintaining appropriate independence and impartiality.

Title IX Team Members

MCC assigns trained personnel based on the role required, qualifications, impartiality, and absence of conflicts of interest or bias. The hearing decision-maker cannot be the Title IX Coordinator or an investigator in that matter. The appeal decision-maker cannot be the Coordinator, an investigator, or the original decision-maker. Team members may serve in different permitted roles in different matters, subject to these restrictions.
