Training Materials

MCC makes publicly available the materials used to train Title IX Coordinators, investigators, decision-makers, and informal resolution facilitators, as required by Title IX. Training materials are retained for at least seven years.

MCC’s Title IX personnel receive training tailored to their assigned roles. Training addresses the definition of sexual harassment; the scope of MCC’s education programs and activities; investigation and grievance procedures, including hearings, appeals, and informal resolution as applicable; and impartiality, conflicts of interest, bias, and avoidance of prejudgment. Investigators receive relevance training for investigative reports. Decision-makers receive training on hearing technology and relevance, including restrictions on questions and evidence about sexual predisposition or prior sexual behavior. Training materials must avoid sex stereotypes and promote impartial investigations and adjudications.
