Articulation Agreement

Agreement for AA, AS and AAS degrees

Complete your Bachelor’s Degree by transferring to Doane University

On track to finishing your Associate’s Degree and considering your next steps? Metropolitan Community College and Doane University have a partnership that can help you on the path to completing an affordable Bachelor’s Degree at Doane’s Crete or Lincoln campuses, or online.

What’s the deal?

For a MCC student who transitions to an undergraduate program taught on Doane’s Lincoln campus or online, Doane will:

  • Provide early advising and orientation programs exclusively for transfer students
  • Reduce tuition 15% for a MCC student on a per-credit hour basis for two and a half years (while the student remains continuously enrolled in a Doane undergraduate degree program.)

For a MCC student who transitions to an undergraduate program taught on Doane’s Crete (residential) campus, Doane will:

  • Provide early advising and orientation programs exclusively for transfer students
  • Provide an annual $20,000 exclusive MCC partnership grant (which replaces any eligible academic scholarships) to a MCC student for four semesters assuming consecutive and continued enrollment toward an undergraduate degree from Doane. MCC students may be eligible for other financial support based on FAFSA information.

Who is eligible?

Students interested in transferring to Doane can do so at any point, however, this partnership is only applicable to students new to Doane who have completed an associate-level degree from MCC anytime after 2018. This agreement only applies to a student who has never taken a course from Doane.

Doane will accept college-level academic credits for a MCC student in good academic standing for articulated programs of study, subject to:

  • Students will receive academic credit for transferable college level courses without regard to instructional modality, including online courses and programs, Dual Enrollment credits and Early College High School credits.
  • Equivalent courses need to be completed with a grade of “C” or better.
  • Remedial/developmental coursework will not be included for transfer.

A MCC student enrolling at Doane under this agreement will be required to meet all program of study and academic standing requirements as specified by Doane.
