This degree prepares students for employment as an Early Childhood Educator or director in a variety of early childhood education settings that serve diverse populations in the state of Nebraska. Teacher Career Ladder
Teacher Career Ladder Program
Nebraska public schools have a large and diverse population of students and have the important goal of placing teachers who mirror the diversity of the students in classrooms. Midland University aims to meet these goals. The two-year Teacher Career Ladder program aims to prepare para-educators for earning a teaching degree with a field endorsement in Elementary Education K-8 and either a supplemental endorsement in Early Childhood Education, English Language Learners, or Special Education.

- Two nights per week from 4:45 P.M. - 9:15 P.M.
- Classes will be held at Midland University’s Omaha location (near 114th and Dodge)

Metropolitan Community College Transfer Scholarship ($23,000)
Warrior Grant ($250/yr) is awarded to you when you submit your ACT/SAT test scores to be used for academic placement. All standardized test scores are eligible for this grant and your scores may even place you out of required courses. See your counselor for more information!
Campus Visit Grant ($500/yr) is awarded when you participate in an Official Campus Visit

- Athletics
- Students interested in being recruited to the largest athletic program in the state, should submit an athletic questionnaire or connect with your coach.
- Arts
- Students interested in participating in the Arts should schedule an audition on their campus visit, or schedule an appointment.
- Honors
- Honors-eligible students (3.5 GPA and/or 27 ACT) should complete their Honors application in the Admissions portal to be considered.
- Presidential
- This scholarship program includes students of many interests. Finding you aren’t interested in Arts, Athletics or Honors? This scholarship path is for you!

1-on-1 advising model allows you to have a true partner in the transfer process from MCC to Midland. These advisors will support you both in and out of the classroom.
Transferology
