Business Administration
Overview
Business administration includes all aspects of leading people and managing resources. Within a business, administration spans all operational functions including accounting, finance, marketing, management, human resources, law, etc. Business administrations seeks to accomplish the organizational goals and objectives through the efficient and effective utilization of all resources.
Career choices for those with business degrees include management, marketing, human resources and planning and analysis. Graduates can select from small to mid-size companies or large corporate organizations. Some may elect to work for business entities that focus on local or regional markets while others may choose firms that serve a global customer base.
Employment opportunities in business are projected to grow at a rate faster than the average for all occupations, adding more than one-half million new jobs over the next 10 years. Globalization and a growing economy are expected to lead demand for a number of business corporations.
